General Business and Charitable Solication Licenses


The General Business license applies to all businesses "doing business" in the District of Columbia who do not fall under an already specified business category or are not professionally licensed. The Charitable Solicitation License applies to most business who actively solicit funds in the District of Columbia.

Get a General Business License

This classification applies to all businesses that have a tax identification number, perform a business activity that is not licensed under another basic business license endorsement category, and is comprised of principals who are not required to maintain licenses granted or regulated by a local, state, or national certification board or body.

Get a Charitable Solicitation License

Charitable Solicitation means the request directly or indirectly for any contribution on the plea or representation that such contribution will or may be used for any charitable purpose.
