DC Board of Architecture and Interior Designers
The DC Board of Architecture and Interior Designers is a decision-making body with an administrative support staff to assist in carrying out the daily duties of the Board. The Board is responsible for promulgating rules on licensing requirements and other issues, holding hearings, deciding disciplinary action against licensees, and regulating the practice of architecture and interior design.
The Board of Architecture and Interior Design is an established board, consisting of seven members of whom three shall be architects, three shall be interior designers, and one shall be a consumer member. The Mayor, with the consent of the Council, shall appoint the members to serve a three-year term of office. No member shall be appointed to serve more than three full consecutive three-year terms.
Board meetings are held every six weeks, on Friday, at 11:00 am in room 7237 of the DCRA headquarters building at 941 North Capitol Street, NE, Washington. The administrative staff to support this board is Harriette Andrews who may be reached on (202) 442-4461. |
