| Proactive Inspection Schedule
The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) has begun a proactive inspections program for all 4,800 multi-family residential rental properties in the District of Columbia. DCRA will be posting the properties scheduled to be inspected by month. If you have questions regarding the proactive inspections program, please visit the proactive inspection page.
Beginning October 1, 2009, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs began charging all residential rental properties a $35.00 per unit fee up to a $2,000.00 maximum for the Proactive Inspections program. The fee funds the Proactive Inspections program and is not tied to a specific inspection. However, all multi-family rental properties will be inspected during the 5 year program.
