More than 70 percent of businesses licensed by the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs can be renewed online. If you are eligible to renew your Basic Business License online, your renewal bill will include a unique six-digit PIN number.
To renew, you will need:
- The Number printed on your renewal bill which starts with LREN or IREN;
- The Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) of the business or owner;
- The six-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) provided on your renewal bill.
Online payments are made via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover); American Express is not accepted.
You can renew your Basic Business License up to ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date of your current license. You current license remains eligible for renewal up to six (6) months from the expiration date; all late fees applicable. The contents of your renewal application will be verified prior to the issuance of your Basic Business License.
